ThermaPAVER Panel
23.5" x 23.5" panel with .375" OD inlet and outlet tubes. Pedestal version has .5" EPS rigid insulation on bottom and Armaflex tube insulation. Ground version has 1.5"EPS or XPS rigid insulation (density determined by application and load requirements) and Armaflex tube insulation. Each panel has a push on, quick connect, union with EPDM D ring seals.

ThermaPAVER unit trimmed to fit
ThermaPAVER units can be trimmed parallel to the flow channels on either or both sides of the inlet tubes. They can be rotated 90 degrees to allow for fitting in the either direction. They are then connected to the row or manifolds using insulated flexible poly tubing. the cut header channels are then sealed with RTV silicone and folded over twice to form a hem, thus creating a positive seal.

THE Invisible Solar Collector
The ThermaPAVER® panel system is assembled beneath either pedestal mounted or ground mounted pavers or stones. It can be used under driveways, roads, patios, sidewalks, plazas, rooftop patios, entry ways, pool decks, and any other place where pavers of any size, shape, or material are used. ThermaPAVER® converts the surface into an invisible solar collector. ThermaPAVER® is ideal for geothermal snow melting, cooling patios or rooftops, and solar hot water. ThermaPAVER® is a heat exchange system that pays for itself. ROI can be as short as 3 years depending upon location and use.
Efficient Snow Melt / Paver Cooling System
ThermaPAVER® is a modular heat exchanger panel that evenly distributes a heating and cooling transfer fluid (glycol or water) through fractal flow channels to allow for even, efficient energy transfer across the entire panel surface. The 23.5" x 23.5 " panels connect in rows, using simple push on connectors. The rows are connected to send and return manifolds to form arrays.
When mounted on pedestals, standard architectural slab pavers are used, typically sized 23.5" to 24" square. When ground mounted, any size or type of segmented paving material can be used such as interlocking pavers, cobblestones or flag stone.
Armaflex pipe insulation is used where appropriate to ensure a highly efficient transfer of heat energy.
The manifold system is custom designed for each project and is made using Aquatherm's Climatherm weldable PP-R pipe. Each row has a push to connect shut off valve on the send and return at the manifold to allow for easy installation and pressure testing. The removable push on connectors utilize robust EPDM D-rings making it easy to access the surface below the system, such as the roof or below grade utilities, as needed.
Cool Roof, PV, and Other Applications
PV Solar Collectors
When installed behind a photovoltaic solar collector array, ThermaPAVER® will cool the collector surface, allowing it to work up to 40% more efficiently. ThermaPAVER® will also snow melt the collector surface all winter long.
Cool Roof: Eliminate the Urban Heat Island Effect
ThermaPAVER® will cool the roof during summer and snow melt during winter. A cooler roof will lower A/C costs and help to lessen the Urban Heat Island Effect. ThermaPAVER® can be modified to work with many different roofing options, including standing seam metal.
Convert Building Walls to Invisible Solar Collectors
ThermaPAVER® acts as an invisible solar collector when mounted behind building walls. The heat exchange system will cool the building, lowering A/C expenses. The absorbed solar energy can be used to heat the building water.
